HOLLAND v. GAMIGAMI, M.D.

Plaintiff contended that the defendant mammographer/ radiologist misread a suspicious lesion on mammogram which resulted in a delay of diagnosis of several years of her breast cancer. The defense established that not only was the mammogram read appropriately, but also that the defendant mammographer, who was nationally known and published, established that the mass which ultimately proved to be cancerous was in a different location than claimed by the plaintiff’s expert. A unanimous verdict was obtained on behalf of the defendant.
