McBRIDE v. VOLKSWAGEN

Plaintiff, a 26-year-old model, was driving a brand-new Volkswagen Beetle. She claimed that the car suddenly pulled to the left, causing her to have a head-on collision with a Fiat. Plaintiff alleged that a tab on the front axle was improperly welded, and consequently failed to hold the steering gear box in place.

Plaintiff sustained soft tissue injuries to her neck and lacerations to her knees, which required suturing and resulted in permanent scarring. Plaintiff was represented by Roger W. Roberts, of the well-respected Riverside firm of Roberts, Morgan & Dougherty. The San Bernardino jury returned a unanimous defense verdict.
